"Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." - Frederic Douglass. Vorlesen ist mehr als eine schöne Kindheitserinnerung. Es ist der erste Schritt, um sich die Welt lesend zu erschließen! Die Leseohren möchten, dass alle Stuttgarter Kinder regelmäßig in den Genuss einer gemütlichen Vorlesestunde kommen. Unser Motto: Vor dem Lesen kommt das Vorlesen. Über 500 ehrenamtliche Vorleserinnen und Vorleser sind Tag für Tag in Kindergärten, Schulen, Bibliotheken, Flüchtlingsunterkünften und überall sonst, wo Kinder sind, unterwegs.

Through reading, you’ll be able to explore and make sense of the world! Leseohren has dedicated itself to providing an hour of storytelling to Stuttgart’s children in a cozy setting and on a regular basis. Leseohren firmly believes that being read to is the first step to reading yourself. Over 500 volunteers donate their time on a daily basis and visit children in various places, such as kindergartens, schools, libraries and refugee homes.
