Die Volkshochschule Stuttgart (vhs) ist die größte öffentliche, von der Stadt Stuttgart geförderte Weiterbildungseinrichtung in der Region. Das Jahresprogramm umfasst rund 4.500 Veranstaltungen. Über 50.000 Teilnehmer belegen jährlich Kurse in den Bereichen Politik und Gesellschaft, Kultur und Kreativität, Gesundheit und Umwelt, Sprachen und Integration, berufliche Fort- und Weiterbildung sowie das Nachholen von Schulabschlüssen. Das Kulturprogramm des TREFFPUNKT Rotebühlplatz wird im Auftrag der Stadt Stuttgart ebenso von der vhs koordiniert. Tanz- und Theateraufführungen sowie Fachtagungen, Filmabende, Ausstellungen und Lesungen haben sich als feste Bestandteile des Programms etabliert. Die ökostation wartberg und das Kinderkulturprogramm im Treffpunkt Kinder runden das VHS Spektrum ab.

Volkshochschule Stuttgart (vhs) is the largest public adult education center within the region and funded by the City of Stuttgart. Our annual program consists of approx. 4,500 events. Every year, more than 50,000 participants attend classes on politics and society, culture and creativity, health and environment, language and integration, professional development and nightclasses to obtain secondary school qualifications. vhs also coordinates the cultural program at TREFFPUNKT Rotebühlplatz on behalf of the City of Stuttgart. Dance and theater performances, symposiums, movie nights, exhibitions and readings have become an essential part of the program. The full VHS spectrum also includes ökostation wartberg and the children's cultural program at Treffpunkt Kinder.
